Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
The short version
- r3kal saves links to videos. It never downloads or hosts the videos themselves.
- You must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
- What you save is yours. Don't use r3kal or its share links for anything illegal or abusive.
- The Free plan is free. Premium (when it launches) is billed through Apple, and you can cancel anytime.
- r3kal is a small, new service, provided as it is. These terms are governed by Texas law.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the r3kal website at r3kal.com, the r3kal iPhone app, and everything they do (together, "r3kal"). r3kal is run by an individual based in Texas, USA ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using r3kal, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use r3kal.
2. Who can use r3kal
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may only use r3kal with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address you can access. We use it to confirm your account and to contact you.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Accounts are for one person. Don't create several accounts to get around plan limits.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has gotten into your account.
4. What r3kal does (and doesn't do)
r3kal lets you save links to videos on TikTok, YouTube, Rumble, Facebook and other sites, organize them into categories, search them, and share selections through a link. When you save a link, r3kal stores the link and basic public information about the video, such as its title, creator, caption and thumbnail image, where the platform makes it available.
- r3kal does not download, copy or host videos. Videos stay on the platform they came from and play there.
- If a video is deleted, made private or blocked by its platform, it may stop working in r3kal. We can't bring it back.
- If a platform doesn't make a thumbnail or details available, r3kal shows a placeholder instead.
- r3kal isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, YouTube (Google), Rumble or Facebook (Meta). Their names and logos belong to them. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms.
5. Your content and share links
You keep ownership of what you add to r3kal, such as your notes, categories and the list of videos you save ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run r3kal for you, for example to show your library, search it, and display the share pages you create.
When you create a share link, anyone who has the link can see that share page, including the videos' titles, thumbnails and links. Only share links with people you trust, and only share things you have the right to share. You can delete a share page at any time, and it stops working right away.
6. Rules for using r3kal
You agree not to:
- break any law, or use r3kal to infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- use notes, category names or share links to harass, threaten, or spread hateful, sexual or violent content involving minors, spam, scams or malware;
- try to get into other people's accounts or data, or test, probe or break r3kal's security;
- overload r3kal, or use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access it, except the official app;
- get around plan limits, daily limits or any other restriction;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer r3kal, except where the law allows it.
We may remove content or share pages that break these rules.
7. Plans and payments
r3kal has two plans:
- Free: up to 10 saved videos, 10 categories, and 5 videos per share link.
- Premium ($1.99/mo): up to 350 saved videos, 125 categories, and 25 videos per share link. Premium isn't available to buy yet.
There are also limits on how many videos you can save in any 24-hour period, to keep the service running smoothly.
When Premium launches in the iPhone app, it will be sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and the subscription renews each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings, at least 24 hours before it renews. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. We never see your card details.
If we offer Premium any other way, we'll show you the price and terms before you pay. We may change prices or plan limits. We'll tell you before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
If your Premium plan ends and you have more saved items than the Free plan allows, your existing items stay. You may need to remove some before you can add new ones.
8. Copyright complaints
r3kal stores links and basic details, not videos. If you believe something on r3kal, such as a share page or a thumbnail, infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with:
- the work you believe is being infringed;
- the r3kal address where it appears;
- your contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We'll remove material that infringes. We'll close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using r3kal at any time. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself in the website or app (Account, then Delete account), or by email if you can't sign in. Our Privacy Policy explains how. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, or when the law requires it. When we can, we'll tell you why.
10. Changes to r3kal
r3kal is a new service and will change over time. We may add, change or remove features. It may also be unavailable at times, for example for maintenance. If we ever shut r3kal down, we'll try to give at least 30 days' notice, so you have time to copy down your saved links.
11. Disclaimers
R3KAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT R3KAL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE ALSO DON'T PROMISE THAT VIDEOS ON OTHER PLATFORMS WILL STAY AVAILABLE. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THIS INCLUDES LOST DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT R3KAL IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR R3KAL IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$10. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If you use r3kal in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs. Those costs include legal fees.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, apart from its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction. If you live outside the US, you still keep any rights your local law gives you that can't be waived.
14. If you got r3kal from the App Store
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for r3kal or its content.
- Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for the app, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple isn't responsible for any claims about the app. This includes product liability, legal or regulatory claims, consumer protection claims and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you aren't in a country under a US government embargo. You also confirm that you aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. They may enforce these Terms against you.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know before it takes effect, by email or with a notice in r3kal. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using r3kal after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these Terms right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
